Eat Safe and Leadbellys – A Very Gluten Free Evening!

When we decided to put on an event for the UK’s best gluten free bloggers, we knew we knew the venue choice was essential – it had to have great vibes, great drinks, and great, gluten free food! One of our partners, Leadbelly’s Bar & Kitchen, popped to mind straight away. And what a great evening it turned out to be… here’s the lowdown…

Leadbelly’s Bar & Kitchen put together a fantastic menu showcasing their innovative gluten free dishes – with¬†plenty of low FODMAP and dairy free options too…

We kicked off the evening with a drinks reception, and Leadbelly’s had even put together a bespoke cocktail¬†using one of our showcased products, a CBD oil cordial – called, of course, ‘Roobie Doobie!’

After a lot of laughs and catching up, we chatted to the guests about our upcoming Eat Safe initiative – our Trusted Foodies programme. Calling all passionate gluten free bloggers, connoisseurs and innovators, we’re opening up the Eat Safe platform soon to include recommendations from trusted members of the free-from community. More details to come… watch this space!

After MORE drinks and food, we then hosted a fascinating workshop by Agnes Troszt about food photography, which focused on composition – some amazing tips which have already been used by our event guests!

And to finish off the evening in style, we sent all the guests away with a goody bag full to the brim of interesting and delicious new products – plus a list of where they can find the best food photography props and resources. The amazing brands included The Sweet Pea Pantry, Spice Sanctuary, O’Shaughnessy Drinks, KAKAAO, Nomad Health, Tickles Pickles, Fodmap For You, Purl Pops, and Elizabeth D Bakes! What a haul!!

It was such a pleasure to work with Leadbelly’s, all our goody bag brands, and of course see lots of friends that we rarely get to see. We’re looking forward to a lot more exciting times over the next few months as we launch Trusted Foodies! Stay tuned!
